Ranbir Kapoor voted Sexiest Asian Man

The 'Rockstar' of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor has clinched the 'Sexiest Asian Man' title, beating off competition from favourites like John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan.

The Kapoor scion famous for his high-profile romances topped the survey conducted by the London weekly, Eastern Eye. "If the women didn't like me I would feel that something is going wrong, but it feels good. I do understand that the fans I have comprise mainly of women, it feels good to be wanted by so many women," said the 28-year-old actor.

Meanwhile, Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, said that the actor claimed the title with a overwhelming margin.

"Usually it is a closely fought contest, where as this year there was one very clear winner. Winning by a large margin is remarkable when you consider the very high profile men who are in the list," said Asjad.

Ranbir, who made his acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mega-budget film 'Saanwariya' has been going strong since his launch and has tasted commercial as well as critical success with films like 'Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani', 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Rajneeti'.

Bollywood hunk John Abraham narrowly missed out on the top spot by finishing second. Hrithik Roshan occupied the third spot while R&B star Jay Sean and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar bagged the fourth and fifth spots.

Others to make it to the top ten included world champion boxer Amir Khan and the highest places new entry is 'X-Factor' finalist Zain Malik.

Recently, Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif rumoured to be romantically involved with Ranbir topped the Eastern Eye's list of the hottest women in the world, beating off competition from her contemporaries like Freida Pinto and Priyanka Chopra.

Paltrow dares to bare on red carpet

Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her elegant but safe fashion choices on the red carpet but the actress decided to spice up things by opting for a daring white backless dress, which left little to the imagination.

Paltrow looked demure and stylish as she arrived in a white floor-length Emilio Pucci gown for the premiere of her movie 'Country Strong'.

But as she turned around, most of her back, hips and legs were on display in the dress, which was slashed right down over her hips, held together only with bits of criss-crossing tie, the Daily Mail reported.

The slit then continued right down her leg, giving onlookers quite an eyeful reminding Elizabeth Hurley's
famous black Versace outfit in 1994, which was held together by golden safety pins.

The 38-year-old actress teamed the white dress with some matching criss cross black shoes.

Paltrow was joined on the red carpet by her 'Country Strong' co-star Leighton Meester, Garrett Hedlund and Tim McGraw.

Hedlund plays a rising country singer in the movie, who teams up with Paltrow's fallen star Kelly Canter and helps her make a comeback while ensuring his own fame along the way. But their partnership ends up creating romantic complications.

Depp, Jolie surprised at Golden Globe nods

Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp did not expect to receive two nominations for next year's Golden Globes and was "touched" with the honours.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star is tipped twice in the Best Actor
(Musical or Comedy) category, for his lead roles in Tim Burton's 'Alice In Wonderland' and new film 'The Tourist'.

Depp admits he was surprised when the nominations were announced on Tuesday, saying, "I certainly didn't expect two nominations in the same category, but if that's what they saw, I guess that's what they saw. I'm very touched. It's always very sweet and very nice to be acknowledged for your work."

Depp's 'The Tourist' co-star Angelina Jolie is also nominated for her role in the movie, receiving a nod in the Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) category.

Jolie was pleasantly surprised by the news because she's never been acknowledged in a comedy category before, reported Contactmusic. "You work hard at something and you do a film that you

love and you never know how it will be responded to, and it's been nice that audiences have enjoyed it and seen it, but to be acknowledged in that way is obviously an honour and very, very nice. And we were laughing, because it's the first time I've been in the comedic category, so it's new for me," she said.

The 68th annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by British Ricky Gervais, will take place on January 16 in Los Angeles.
